People I need a little assistance please if you would be so kind :)
I have a very dear regular (72) whose birthday is coming up. I'd love to buy him something special but I'm stuck.
I bought him a fancy pen, which he confesses he never uses and just uses hotel ones. I bought him a leather tidy tray and glasses case (as his old one was dog eared) neither of which he uses.
He tells me not to buy him anything but he is so generous to me and is always buying my gifts and taking me shopping that I would love to buy him something really special back. I just end up buying him chocolate all the time, which I know always goes down well as he has a sweet tooth :) but I'd like to find something else.
I bought him a tie and he wore it on our last date, but that was the first time he wore it and he says he only wears a tie with me. I've bought him fragrance but he only wears it when he's with me.
He's married so discretion is important as certain gifts would arouse questions, hence the problems with some of my previous gifts. He works full time still and has his own business.
Has anyone got any ideas? I know I'm going to get a few jokes but hopefully I'll get some serious suggestions too :)
Thank you please XXX |

Bea,
Does he wear shirts with cufflinks? If so a nice pair of Mont Blanc cufflinks is bot discreet and special.....
Alternatively treat him to a special lunch at The Fat Duck, or Gordon Ramsay in Hospital Road...

Zorro has an excellent point about lunch or alternatively how about cooking your friend a meal? |

The Fat Duck in Bray is top of my list to visit sometime. |

Not sure if he wears cuff links... I'll check next time I see him, he doesn't wear a suit for work only when he sees me, so I'll have a look. Thing is his birthday will have passed, but it's an idea to hold on to for next time :) Thanks Zorro XXX We are limited as to when we can meet and we always meet in Nottingham... for me to buy the meal I don't feel would be special enough. I decided as he has a sweet tooth I'm going to bake him some cakes :) |

Hi Pilgrim :) I don't offer incalls we always meet at a hotel ... but I've decided to bake some cakes. He's got a very sweet tooth so I know he'll appreciate them :) I think that's much more personal than taking him to a restaurant. He's an old fashioned gent anyway so he'd probably feel uncomfortable with me paying for a meal. Thanks for your suggestion XXXXX |

Mea Culpa, forgot you don't do incalls
Cakes sounds like a plan ;-) especially given recent news about the Fat Duck.

It will be renamed the Skinny Pigeon, haha. |
